Nuclear throne fish cop12/29/2023 The protagonist – whoever and whatever he/she/it is – has to destroy the others in order to advance. Predictably, this results in there being quite a lot of hazards, monsters and murderous competitors along the way. Further bolstering this rumor, anyone who seeks the Nuclear Throne would be stalked by semi-sentient portals that shunt them closer and closer to the abode of the Throne. The rumor is that anyone who controls the throne controls the fate of the world – but there can be only one. However, there is a pervasive rumor about a chance at hope: the titular Nuclear Throne. Life is understandably harsh and short for anyone, including the mutants. Steroids is a character who somehow survived the apocalypse by being hella muscular. Glowing-green radioactive materials are the new currency (and also food), and language has devolved into “Trashtalk”, which is practically gibberish with actual meaning behind every utterance.Īlso, many, many guns have survived the nuclear holocaust, so everyone that has hands (or equivalents) is well-armed. Whatever remains of humanity are now comically hideous mutants that have no qualms mutating themselves in order to survive. The world in Nuclear Throne has gone down the atomic toilet. Of course, this is perhaps expected, since Vlambeer – maker of the goofy shooter Gun Godz – developed this game. However, where most games that use this setting are often serious in their tone (most of the time), Nuclear Throne has a whimsical take on it. The post-apocalypse is a staple setting in video games. Unfortunately, a design decision on the part of Vlambeer prevents the player from fully utilizing his/her skill and experience at this game. Nuclear Throne appears to scratch that itch (if the DLCs for and sequel to Binding of Isaac have not already). Remember: Everybody can edit this wiki, feel free to do so! Create an account! If you would like to try the game before you buy it then download Wasteland Kings, the Nuclear Throne Prototype! This is the first build created during Mojam back in March 2013, which can help you decide whether or not this game is for you. Also visit the Steam forums, subreddit and FanFiction. Purchase the game for PC on Steam and the Game's Website. It will later launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox One. It's currently available on PC, Mac & Linux, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. Nuclear Throne exited Steam Early Access on December 5th, 2015, although it will still be updated. The abundant availability of powerful weaponry makes the quest to become ruler of the Wasteland one fraught with peril. The radioactive waste allows mutants to improve their abilities by mutating new limbs on the fly. Nuclear Throne is an action roguelike-like by Vlambeer about mutants fighting their way through a post-apocalyptic world that's full of enemies.
